the hunt: leopard print shoes

This fall, one of my absolute accessories must-haves is a fantastic pair of leopard pumps (or booties or flats - or maybe one of each). Unfortunately, finding the perfect pair is a challenge. Leopard is one of those things that can go from chic to, well, cheap in the blink of an eye. The print and details need to be perfect. Here are some of my faves:

1/ Pour La Victoire "Ivette" Leopard Calf Hair Pumps
This shoe is a pretty much perfect leopard pump. The print isn't too big, the covered platform style is versatile enough to wear with jeans or a cocktail dress, and the 4 3/4" heel height is ideal for elongating the legs.

2/ B Brian Atwood "Petisca Calf Hair Pumps
The chunky heel on these shoes from Brian Atwood are fun, funky alternative to stilettos. The heel is an ultra-high 5 inches, but thanks to the 1.5-inch covered platform, you'll still be able to walk in them. And you'll feel like a supermodel.

3/ House of Harlow 1960 "Natalia" Hair Calf Platform Booties
I am obsessed with these ankle boots. The leopard print is big and bold, giving these a graphic quality that's irresistible, and the exposed back zip keeps things sexy.

$295, Shopbop

4/ Steven by Steve Madden "Cyppress" Leopard Pumps
Looking for something a little more wallet-friendly? Steven's sky-high hidden platform pumps are currently on sale for $104.97, making them one stylish steal.

$104.97 (originally $149.95), Steve Madden

5/ Jimmy Choo "Wheel" Leopard Haircalf Loafers
These shoes have a lot going for them. First, the print is the best of the bunch - the shading gives it a beautiful depth. Second, the masculine shape is right on trend and can be dressed up or down (just imagine how hot these would be with a super femme take on the tuxedo). Third, these babies are stylish and comfy! What's not to love about that?

6/ J.Crew "Nora" Calf Hair Ballet Flats
Feminine yet frisky, these ballet flats from J.Crew are a classic that can be worn with literally anything. They're also super flexible through the sole thanks to the fact that they have no shank, so you can plie the day away in total comfort.

$250, J.Crew
