a quick update

I am a busy little bee right now! I have lots of amazing things in the works - an editorial shoot with one of my fave photographers, a charity fashion show, a new freelance partnership that I can't wait to get started, and an upcoming trip to Stockholm (more on this one later!!!). What I'm trying to say is I'm a little strapped for time, so how about a quick visual update of what I've been up to lately?

These are the shoes I wore to MC the Wayne State University fashion show last Thursday. I adore my alma mater, and the Fashion Design and Merchandising students are seriously talented. Keep your eyes on Neil Alan, Emily K., Luciana Davies, Mallaurie Greene, Kimberly Wieche and Holly Haynes, some of WSU's rising design stars.

Last week my friend Cassi, who lives in LA and is an incredibly talented musician, played an intimate show in Ferndale. It is so inspiring when someone has a dream and just goes for it. Big things are on the horizon for Cassi, I can sense it. You can check her out for yourself on Facebook and ReverbNation. This song is one of my favorites:

Saturday I went shopping with a friend to help her find accessories for her wedding. She's a super fun non-traditional bride, and we were on the hunt for purple shoes. We didn't find anything that was quite right in any of the stores we went to, so I jumped on the internet and did a little searching. Turns out there are lots of great options out there. I am obsessed with these Rachel Zoe wedges.

To cap off the week, my girlfriends and I got together for brunch at the absolutely delicious Woodbridge Pub. I dream about their Salmon Eggs Benedict. My only complaint is that they took the cheese grits off the menu - apparently my friend Andrea and I are the only people who ever ordered them, which is crazy, because they were amazing!!!
